The Processes
My idea for this project was to make a tower using a pringles can. Bellow are some of my sketches I used to create a general plan of what I wanted to do and the measurements I needed to make my files.
I first found the door and window design I wanted and then a stone wall pattern that would go well with it.
I then combined them to make my vinyl template and then remove the stone pattern in a copy of the file for my laser cut.
I used the router attachment on the laser to cut out the windows and door.
I then designed and 3-D printed a little roof for the top of the tower.

Conclusion
This project taught me a lot. It taught me that it is really possible to get over ambitious with a creative endeavor and make things way too complicated. I also learned that deadlines sneak up on me way too easily and have since I was a kid. This was really a reminder that in order for me to reach my full potential, I need a set schedule with check points to hold myself accountable and not just dismiss everything with, "it will all work out in the end," "I'll figure it out," or "I just will stay up really late and finish it then." Sometimes it is important to step back and make sure that there is some balance between number of things that need to be done and amount of time to do it.
